Perfect for fantastic detailed patterns! Not as deep as the Deep Impression Rollers, but much more detailed! Great for use with Mica Powder and Alcohol ink techniques and seem to be very popular with Pottery Artists! The details are multi layered so not ideal for stamping or painting.

Small Rollers (2.75”) are best suited for smaller jewelry sets. XL Rollers (4”) are slightly deeper, and the pattern is slightly bigger. Great for Polymer Clay and Pottery Clay! *New* Jumbo (6") are expanded with an even larger and deeper pattern and seem to be a favorite with Pottery Artists

New Double Tall options available!!! The size and depth of the pattern are the same as the original size, just seamlessly stacked 2 high! Small 2xTall are 5.5", XL 2xTall are 8".

Debossing pushes the main design into the clay, while Embossing leaves the main design raised in the clay. For Mokume Gane I tend to like the effect of the Debossing in the slab, but the Embossing tends to make great shavings to place on a solid-colored sheet for additional pieces!

See my RollerRoller @ https://cassandrajeandesigns.com/products/texture-rollerroller-includes-roller-cleaning-needle?utm_source=copyToPasteBoard&utm_medium=product-links&utm_content=web Helps to even out pressure and comes with a cleaning needle to help with any stuck clay! If it is sticky be sure to leach it before using.

2 Burnish clay onto a slick surface such as tile or glass so it holds in place.

3 Be sure to use some sort of release agent such as corn starch or water. I keep a small bottle of water handy and spritz the roller then roll it between my palms to be sure if even coverage and to prevent pooling.

4 Start roller in slightly from the edge to minimize the tendency for the clay to follow the roller. Also be sure to work from a clean edge. Especially in Mokume Gane with inclusions a tattered edge full of foil likes to catch in the roller so be aware!

5 I use firm pressure and small movements to roll across the clay for deep impression, kinda creeping the roller 1/4 turn at a time with the tips of my fingers. For less deep impression I use the flat of my palm and roll slowly but fully across the clay.

6 Release pressure before the final edge. Edges seem to be the most likely place for clay to catch in the roller.

7 nozzle cleaning needles seem to be the best defense for clay that does get caught in the rollers.

8 Enjoy the process!!!
